Those who witnessed Martha Wainwright at Rufus Wainwright's Hollywood Bowl Judy Garland spectacle this summer saw a star stepping out from her brother's shadow. Not only did the singer/songwriter light up the bowl with an unforgettable rendition of "Stormy Weather," but she also practically stole the show with her Liza- and Lorna Luft-like drama. Coming off a series of notable appearances (she recently toured with Snow Patrol), Martha continues her climb tonight, singing songs from her critically acclaimed (but much-ignored) self-titled debut. Rounding out the night is Irish-and-Czech band the Swell Season, the subjects of indie-film super-hit Once.
