Harvey Finklestein's Sock Puppet Showgirls combines two things that everyone loves: rude sock puppets and the Paul Verhoeven/Joe Eszterhas cult classic Showgirls, the latter of which has inspired parodies and drinking games across America. Co-created by Finklestein and Jimmy McDermott, Sock Puppet Showgirls is a freewheeling, funny romp along the lines of Avenue Q and Meet the Feebles. And these socks are dirty, too — there is explicit sex, nudity, and even pole dancing. And amid the topless socks, keep your eyes peeled for more familiar furry characters such as Lamb Chop and Elmo.
