East meets West (coast, that is) in this exhibition of 14 NYC-based up-and-comers. Independent curator and New York gallerist Amy Smith-Stewart lends her well-trained eye to Steve Turner Contemporary by handpicking the individual interpretations of reality. The stunning, oft-surreal exhibit includes hauntingly beautiful oil paintings by Christian Curiel, futuristic watercolor/mixed-media pieces from Jen Liu, and contemporary installations from Ohad Meromi and Rashawn Griffin.
