LA painter Jacob Magraw's gouache-on-paper works are improvisational landscapes composed of layers of Skittles-worthy colors. His latest batch of works at Richard Heller Gallery is offset by that of Brooklyn's Edward del Rosario, whose figurative oil paintings are playful, yet technical enough to avoid whimsy-induced irrelevance.
