- Dead Bird Movement is quickly gaining acclaim in the dance world for its contortionist choreography. The Seattle-based company brings its latest show, Entry by Entrance, to SoCal for a revved-up night of slapstick and surreal movement. Founder Jessie Smith and her co-conspirators incorporate modern-dance techniques with comedic chaos — a chase scene involving a dead fish, for example — tying it all together with original music by Alex Guy of the Degenerate Art Ensemble. – Yolanda Evans
