Set over the course of two balmy days in August, theatre of NOTE's latest production revolves around the emotional cyclones stirred up within the interwoven lives of seven small-town strangers. Written by Kristen Palmer and directed by Inger Tudor, the play stars Michelle Hilyard as D'Lady, a prodigal one-woman hurricane who unceremoniously returns after a scandalous and unexplained five-year absence. The nuanced, character-driven story is as much about the endurance of familial bonds as it is about the hilarious, morally ambiguous hallmarks of adolescence.
