The modest Canadian artist known as Labrona considers himself to be "just a guy... [who] doesn't want a regular nine-to-five" — a refreshing self assessment that belies his incredible talent. Labrona is best known for his paintings of trains, a subject he abandons in this latest collection, turning instead to German Expressionist-inspired heads to convey the range of human emotion.
