Egyptian Theatre says…

In the oft-vapid world of La-La Land, opportunities for socially conscious expression can seem few and far between. Not so, say the fine folks behind the Artivist Film Festival, who are preparing for their fourth-annual global celebration of cinematic activism. Offerings include American Meth, a cross-country road movie (narrated by Val Kilmer) that reveals the many faces of speed addiction, and The Rich Have Their Own Photographers, a documentary about near-centenarian socialist hero Milton Rogovin and his photography of the marginalized and destitute. To add some color to the activist theme, the red carpet goes green, so wear something eco-friendly.
