In this important and timely work, conceived and directed by Peter DiMuro, award-winning dance pioneer Liz Lerman examines accepted definitions of family. With humor, insight, and tenderness (aided by movement, video, shadow puppets, and spoken word!), she calls attention to emerging developments in "non-nuclear arrangements" that challenge existing stereotypes. Known since the early '70s for saturated visual feasts that are more immediate and enlightening than the daily news, this choreographer, performer, and writer consistently helps us to go beyond limiting preconceptions.
