Traipsing a Basque-inflected pirouette through the nomadic trails of France and the Far East, Jessica Fichot's multi-ethnic French-Chinese-American influences burst into vivid life on her debut album, The Path. It's a longing, variegated collection of gypsy jazz, Silk Route-style folk, and Americana storytelling. Tonight, she plays at the appropriately Spanish-styled El Cid alongside dreamy, space-rocking locals Pink Mochi.
