Serena Mitnik-Miller doesn't take the usual kind of surf photography, and Venice's freshly opened Mollusk Surf Shop isn't the usual kind of board store. While Miller's images utilize a saturated, earthy palette and lushly sexy, abstract-by-proximity, soft-focus quality having more in common with Georgia O'Keeffe than Sean Davey, the shop prides itself on old-school, hand-crafted boards, clothes, art books, and gallery displays.
