The Shondes take the Yiddish word for shame, disgrace, pity, and outrage and turn it into a badge of queer-rock honor. Having been compared to Sleater-Kinney, Patti Smith, and Rasputina, this hard-rocking quartet from Brooklyn blows up, bothers, and bewilders crowds as it stalks the nation in support of its debut album, The Red Sea. The group is joined tonight by fellow queer-core ladies We Float.
