High Energy Constructs says…

High Energy Constructs has put together a three-person show of up-and-coming artists who traverse the unknown and question culture. While the title, You are not here, you are still there and think you are here, seems to be an exploration of man's existential dilemma, the show is a bit more down-to-earth than that. Christian Cummings constructs sculptures that dip their toes in the ambiguous, but here he presents works that straightforwardly choose to play and shun consumption. Michael Decker's new work shows the excess and the loss associated with consumer culture, and Marie Johnston utilizes seemingly harmless everyday objects to construct unscary monsters influenced by sci-fi space shows.
