Art Choi Jeong-Hwa: Truth

Interdisciplinary Korean wunderkind and founder of the Gaseum Studio, Choi Jeong-Hwa obliterates the boundaries between visual art, graphic/industrial design, and architecture, and ridicules the preciousness of unique objects in an era of unchecked consumption and reproduction. Exhibited in Venice, Liverpool, São Paolo, and many other international cities, his enormous disposable structures confound organic/inorganic categorization. The artist's 2006-07 residency at REDCAT culminates in an anti-solo exhibition, incorporating works by invited artisans and artists, and promising to vibrate your retinas with vivid, candy-colored creations.
