Los Angeles' illustrative It-girl, Brandi Milne, joins forces with whimsical Chicago-based artist Jeremiah Ketner to transform this Culver City gallery into a veritable candyland. Milne's stylized works are inspired by art nouveau, '70s design, and anime, resulting in willowy, folksy figures set in fantastical or ethereal settings. Her latest collection of paintings, drawings, and dolls focuses on the sugar-and-spice trope, playing up the girlish aesthetic for which Milne is known. In the upstairs project space, Ketner complements her collection by exhibiting works no less saccharine — his decidedly pop-influenced works have even been described as having been painted with sugar.
