Los Angeles artist Ruby Osorio's collection at Cherry and Martin Gallery was heavily influenced by her recent trip to Athens. Surrounded by such history-rich environs, Osorio couldn't help but let the region's mythical background seep into her work. The exhibition of romantic, curious gouache-and-ink works focuses on the "trickster," a historical symbol of ambiguity and contradiction. This exhibition also celebrates the release of Osorio's collection of hand-colored lithographs, Such Wayward Whimsies.
