Why? is the pseudonymous project of Anticon black sheep Yoni Wolf, who eschews his label's usual hip-hop in favor of poppier pastures. However, despite the sharply written, bittersweet indie tunes on upcoming record Alopecia, hip-hop finery like drum machine, leftfield samples, and Wolf's nasal speak-sing and snot-nosed wordplay still reign.
