Every year, thousands of music-technology geeks from all over the country converge on the Anaheim Convention Center to ogle the latest software and instruments at the annual NAMM show. And when the sun sets on Saturday, Droid Behavior is there to help them drown out the cacophonous sound of vendors vying for their attention. In the techno room, LA mad scientist [a]pendics.shuffle and Miami's Stryke guarantee dance-floor mayhem, while in the IDM room, Atlanta's Richard Devine mutilates and reconstructs sound and Chicago's the Flashbulb electrifies with acidic laptop-and-guitar antics.
