While not quite matching his virtuosic appearance in Dr. Strangelove, Peter Sellers brings his characteristic mischief to the role of Duchy of Grand Fenwick in The Mouse That Roared. In this loopy and somewhat pointed satire, the British Prime Minister declares a doomed war on America in order to rejuvenate the economy. Despite high-ranking reservations, a ten-man army marches into New York City armed with a mysterious "Q" bomb. Playing beforehand is the old-fashioned Sellers vehicle Battle of the Sexes, which tracks his persistent and uproarious efforts to kill a tradition-trampling efficiency expert.
