Electro-pop duo the Blow team up with indie chanteuse Mirah to enchant, beguile, and maybe even confuse LA audiences. The Blow are known for colorful, blippy musical backdrops and unlikely postmodern lyrics ranging from the sweet (lovers' bodies forming a pair of parentheses) to the surreal (mysterious goings-on in the deli aisle). Mirah plays sensual, lo-fi twee pop, and her new record is about the secret lives of insects, so it looks like every love-song convention will be thrown out the window this evening.
