Film: Shorts First Sight Scene: New Works by Southern California Filmmakers

Established in 1992 to showcase new work from Southern Californian artists, the annual First Sight Scene explores film that exists between states, whether it blends fact with fiction, or digital with analog. This year's installment is presented by LA Filmforum, Los Angeles' oldest venue for experimental film now in its 32nd year. The series includes work by Madison Brookshire, John Cannizzaro, Erik Deutschman, Gwenaelle Gobe, Thomas Helman, Christina McPhee, Dena DeCola, and Karin E. Wander.
