The first T&G of the new year features a reading from Aimee Bender, author of a coterie of critically acclaimed books. Her most recent, a collection of short stories called Willful Creatures, nonchalantly mixes up fantasy, metaphor, and reality with deadpan delivery and stiletto-sharp endings. Milo Martin is a globe-trotting spoken-word artist, political sensualist, and author of the forthcoming Poems for the Utopian Nihilist from Echo Park Press. Sasha Watson (Vidalia in Paris) reads as well, along with Doug Cordell, Nicole Muller, and music by Chuck Lee Bramlett.
