What do Linda Perry, Jon Brion, and the annual Coachella music fest have in common? The Section Quartet. The LA-based band — the only one to have taken on all three of the aforementioned musical forces — uses nothing but strings. With their cavalier interpretations of some of rock 'n roll's (nearly) inimitable anthems and lullabies, the Quartet returns to the Echo after zigzagging the country on the heels of their Perry- and Brion-produced major label debut, Fuzzbox. Très cool jazz outfit Leviathan Brothers warm up the evening.
