- Eddy Sykes, Actuator prototype, Photo: Erik Ian Schaetzke
First, there were robot maids, robot pets, and robot vacuums. Now, there are robot gardens. The technical specifications for Materials & Applications' latest installation are as charming as poetry, if a bit over the head of the average non-nanophysicist. But for those curious about the future of green design, the origami-inspired living fun house proposed by guest architect Eddy Sykes has the right spirit, even if it seems to defy logic. A self-arranging system of grass-growing plates and artificial clouds, Yakuza Lou is half magical fort, half sustainable development.

Mar 17 is over. Who is doing the website these days? Not that it really matters WHO is taking care of it, but I notice in addition to mistakes, there are several bars being promoted as free events. Bad call, Flavorpill, Shana, or whoever you are. People are smarter than you give them credit for.
