Los Angeles-based Artillery Magazine educates the public on relevant issues within the contemporary art world with a little more humor and panache than other, more academic publications. Now, its endearingly pugnacious straight talk spawns a new endeavor that takes the shape of a live forum. With the assistance of Circus Gallery, Artillery presents a series of debates that give art-makers, curators, and writers the chance to exchange blows over hot topics such as graffiti art, conceptual art, and art's value as a commodity — plus how that value may be affected by the current financial crisis.
