Music: DJ Afro Funke' feat. DJ Chicken George

Chicken George may be internationally known as a hip-hop DJ, but it's his unexpected juxaposition of genre, style, and tempo that makes his sets so electrifying. After building an impressive résumé and sharing stages with colossal talent, such as Afrika Bambaataa, Breakestra, Gang Starr, and the Roots, he makes a rare LA appearance tonight at Afro Funke'. The weekly Westside sureshot is known for its diverse crowd, friendly vibe, and feel-good mix of reggae, dub, Afrobeat, hip-hop, house, funk, and soul. Support comes from resident DJ Jeremy Sole, of 89.9 KCRW's Branches.
