Music: Rock/Pop Leo Nocentelli
-
- Leo Nocentelli
The Meters were a household name among funk followers in the '60s and '70s, and the group even opened for the Rolling Stones during a US tour after Mick Jagger heard them play at a party thrown by Paul McCartney aboard the Queen Mary. Guitarist Leo Nocentelli went on to considerable solo success after the group disbanded in 1977 to explore their own musical directions, but he still jams with his old bandmates from time to time. Tonight, Nocentelli brings his tasty licks and highly syncopated rhythms to the Mint with Big Organ Trio, Check in the Dark, and Body lending support.
