Icelandic sprites Sigur Rós grace the Greek Theatre stage with an atmospheric set that includes selections from the enigmatic group's sixth album, Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust (With a Buzz in Our Ears We Play Endlessly). It's rawer and rougher than earlier records, with a greater dynamic range and shorter, poppier tracks, which is especially surprising considering the band once refused to play a not-long-enough slot on the Late Show with David Letterman. One of the tracks is even in English. Die-hard fans shouldn't despair — joyous coziness still abounds, and there are lush orchestrations complete with choirs, string arrangements, and a five-piece brass section.
