Tonight marks the launch of Arts & Architecture, a ten-volume TASCHEN hardcover collecting every issue of the seminal journal published between 1945 and 1954. David Travers, the magazine's former publisher, is on hand, as well as longtime A&A photographer Julius Shulman. Over his 60-plus year career, Shulman established himself as one of the world's foremost architectural photographers. His career began with eight-by-ten Kodak shots for architect Richard Neutra and quickly gained momentum with commissions from many of Los Angeles' leading builders. The book honors his work documenting the countless luminaries of mid-century architecture, and tonight celebrates the publication that helped them rise to success.
