LACE and the Pitzer College Media Studies Program host Resolution 3: Video Praxis in Global Spaces, comprising this weekend's multi-venue symposium, the traveling exhibition Narrowcast: Reframing Global Video 1986/2008, continuing at Pitzer through November 23 before moving its evolving installation to Hollywood's LACE in early December, and a forthcoming book. As part of the collaboration, the venues co-host this three-day symposium led by the noted multimedia artist Ming-Yuen S. Ma. Starring a cadre of the genre's leading thinkers and combining advanced theories on the interplay of image, history, and public space with hands-on experimentation, this event is a must for that budding Vito Acconci, or any new-media enthusiast.
