Brooklyn duo USAISAMONSTER (pronounced as if spaces exist between the words) are seasoned veterans of the global basement/warehouse scene. More adventurous than many of their avant-noise peers, the band specializes in meandering hooks and wacky grooves, while their political lyrics often use Native American imagery to evoke a palpable sense of injustice. These guys are too soulful to be purely mathy, and too disdainful of convention to play by-the-books rock 'n roll. Their new album, Space Programs, expands their distinctive sound with a righteous horn section and more trips down disorientation lane.
