Dance Camera West takes its hands off the wheel and lets the fates curate this refreshingly low-maintenance collection of dance films. Continuing the open-projector policy established during the event's first installment, No Dancing at the Mandrake encourages filmmakers to bring in completed works, works-in-progress, or mere sketches to be screened so that peers can watch and provide feedback. Both filmmakers and dance fans are welcome as long as they keep two rules in mind: One, films must be less than ten minutes long. And two, don't spill your garden martini on the projector.
