This evening's event features multimedia readings by authors from 33 1/3, the book series that tells the stories behind some of the world's most beloved albums. Taking the podium are Hayden Childs, author of Shoot Out the Lights, which reflects on Richard and Linda Thompson's masterpiece; Kim Cooper, co-editor of Lost in the Grooves: Scram's Capricious Guide to the Music You Missed, who tackles Neutral Milk Hotel's In the Aeroplane Over the Sea; and Pitchfork Media editor in chief Scott Plagenhoef, who chronicles Belle and Sebastian's rise to indie-pop stardom via If You're Feeling Sinister.
