Raya Yarbrough's jazzy, bluesy songwriting and sensual singing are mere slices of the total talent she possesses. Born in Los Angeles, she has finally realized her dream of stardom with a self-titled Telarc Records debut, produced by Oingo Boingo's Steve Bartek. Yarbrough brings a youthful vigor to the Mint's monthly Alternajazz lineup, an eclectic affair at which she is joined by Doug and the Mystics, the EarthAustria Trio, and Otmaro Ruiz.
