When founding member Ben Curtis left the Secret Machines last year to focus on his new band, School of Seven Bells, many feared it would mean the end for the NYC trio. Instead, his brother Brandon and drummer Josh Garza plowed into album number three, finding a replacement for Ben by keeping things in the (musical) family. Joined by guitarist Phil Karnats — who played with Ben in Tripping Daisy, back when the boys all called Texas home — the Machines return with a new, self-titled long-player, full of enough psychedelic space rock to keep celeb fan David Bowie (and you) enamored.
