Indie 103.1 and Bud Lime's Drop Dead Gorgeous Halloween party stars Darker My Love, a crew known, and loved, for an overdriven soul a bit like the Jesus and Mary Chain channeled by Brian Jonestown Massacre — and you have to give the Los Angeles band credit for creative venue selection. Tonight, its spooky, low-key anthems soundtrack a creepy/beautiful party in the shadows of the dinosaurs. The band gets support from fellow shabby-chic party-starter the Juan Maclean, plus a roster of revved-up local bands, the astonishing grooves of DJ Pube$, film projections, costume prizes, and drink specials.
