Los Angeles-based artist/art producer Daniel DeSure not only creates photography, film, and new media, but he also founded the art production/design house Commonwealth last year and produced Sleepwalkers, a film by Doug Aitken for New York's MoMA. Somehow, the prolific DeSure also managed to create a new collection of work for Found Gallery in Silverlake. In Wouldn't It Be Nice, the artist addresses the fear of literal and figurative collisions. More hopeful than anything, this exhibition explores our anxieties about the unplanned — only magnified by the events of 9/11 — as a means of highlighting our resilience.
