Balancing method and chaos, Robert Breer's short films use drawing, collage, and other types of clashing, inorganic imagery to surprisingly orderly ends. Part of a four-program series, tonight's screening showcases 14 of Breer's works, each expertly restored. The series examines Breer's film art (dare we call it animation?) across the course of four decades, hopefully including his contributions to Electric Company.
