Inspired by the Doors' spacious soundscapes and Ennio Morricone's stylized narratives, Spindrift are at the forefront of "the new West." Making a fetish of the simpler, earthier days of the Old West, the band seeks a warmer, sepia-toned version of sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll. Its albums, like its movie, The Legend of God's Gun, are unspoken manifestos, and its live shows evoke vistas, thundering steam engines, strange travelers in the night, and the cosmic magic of the desert's dark starry sky.
