Downtown's La Cita Bar has hosted Ghettogloss Gallery's Bronx Zoo each Saturday since the start of June, inspiring artists to render scantily-dressed nymphs with very hairy heads. The Gorilla Girls, depicted in two-pieces, excavate the fantasies of artists of all stripes, offering a hirsute, sexy spin on the life-drawing class. The result is an eclectic body of work that's at once mesmerizing, confounding, and endlessly inviting. At the opening, the public will have the chance to view and purchase works from this four-month endeavor, not to mention mingle with the beastly, bikini-clad babes.
