In this pairing of one-man exhibitions, Roberts + Tilton's new Culver City digs unleashes an ocean of dense artistic detail. Matt Leines' ambitious murals are known for unfurling symbol-rich epics; and this series of mesmerizing works on paper are no less precious and precise. Meanwhile, Ed Templeton, a hero of the Beautiful Losers school, brings the full force of his multidexterous talents to bear in an installation composed of hundreds of paintings, drawings, photographs, and sundry visual contributions. Like much of his work, these pieces examine his personal narrative in unflinching detail.
