Serving music-forward tunes to a laid back Westside crowd, tonight's Tighten Up party imports West London (by way of New Zealand) son Mark de Clive Lowe. Known for funky, syncopated beats, de Clive Lowe has been a major force in the new West London sound, dropping a slate of celebrated remixes, productions, and DJ sets. Some call it 2-step, others nu-jazz or nu-house — whatever it is, de Clive Lowe's sound, like that of contemporaries like Bugz in the Attic, 4-Hero, and IG Culture, is best experienced live.
