Psycho-funk folkster Pop Levi brings a refreshingly tight backbeat to the rocking vibrato of prog rock, dropping raw, ambiguous lyrics atop synthy melodies. Tonight, Levi premieres his debut film, You Don't Gotta Run. Shot and assembled with fellow instrumentalist Lucky Beaches and captured exclusively on pocket media, the film documents the singer's recent press trip across Europe. As indefinable as his tunes, the 37-minute piece has Levi discussing music, filmmaking, and mass culture. Levi and Beaches introduce the film and perform after the screening.
