Gobble Gobble Give

What began as a random act of kindness has since become one of Los Angeles' fastest-growing grassroots institutions, Gobble Gobble Give. The annual Echo Park effort marks its tenth anniversary this year, but with 80,000 people living on the streets of LA, there can never be too many volunteers. Bighearted people are still being recruited to help out: participants donate food — homemade or store-bought — and gather at the Echo to assemble meals for those in need. Volunteer drivers then set out to disperse the meals across the city. If you can't lend a hand, there are still ways to help: all donations, including clothes, are accepted.
