Art Center alum P-Jay Fidler's works reflect a heady amalgam of artistic influences, including naturalism, surrealism, popular illustration, and modern graphic design. His complex paintings predominantly address the transformative nature of human experience, becoming at once alienating and inviting. Similarly, self-described urban folk artist Jason Houchen imparts a sense of outsider art through his extensive use of mixed media, incorporating wood, stained glass, and vintage cigar labels — ultimately offering works that are foreign in form but thematically familiar.
