Eagle Rock Center for the Arts' new group show, Plush, uses sculpture, video, and drawing to explore the excesses of the economic bubble and the panic following its recent burst. Curator Martin Durazo invited several local artists to contribute commentary on the crisis; the results range from the meditative to the tongue-in-cheek and transgressive. Ruby Osorio shows off-kilter craft- and folk art-based installations, while Dion Johnson's withering and eerily beautiful images combine nature and abstract geometry. Tucker Neel, meanwhile, offers bizarre, symbol-rich fantasy narratives.
