Margaret Jenkins has brought her wildly successful Choreographers in Mentorship Exchange (CHIME) project down to Southern California after five years of nurturing and elevating the scene with promising young San Francisco choreographers. Local recipients Rae Shao-Lan Blum, Bradley Michaud, and Olivier Tarpaga — artists whose works have been solidly gracing LA boards for a few years now — have benefited from the guidance of Simone Forti, Rosanna Gamson, and David Roussève over the past year. The results are laid bare tonight at CHIME LIVE!, an evening devoted to revealing the nature of the collaborations as well as their artistic output.
