If High School Musical graduated its teenage actors from cliché-school scenarios, it could look a lot like Were the World Mine. Inspired by the short musical film Fairies, Tom Gustafson's authentic coming-of-age story spotlights a high-school student's foray into musical theatre and magic. Tanner Cohen plays Timothy, a student cast as Puck in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. After stumbling across a "purple love pansy" recipe hidden within the production's script, a comedy of errors ensues. Were the World Mine also stars Wendy Robie, Judy McLane, and Zelda Williams.
