One of the best-known names in street photography, Glen Friedman produces jaunty, richly printed black-and-white portraits of skate, punk, and indie hip-hop scenes. His iconic photos have defined a generation of alternative, progressive artists and struck at the heart of any number of music-friendly subcultures. His poetic color photographs of the natural world, especially the evocative and affecting clouds series, are lesser known but equally powerful. In this, Friedman's first major retrospective survey, expect familiar favorites alongside never-before-shown gems and brand-new masterpieces.
