World AIDS Day isn't the only time to lend a helping hand. This evening, Afro Funké – Zanzibar's self-described "weekly Afroboogie ritual" – partners with nonprofit humanitarian org NextAid for its world dance night. Proceeds go to the NextAid/Youth with a Vision Community Center and Children's Residential Village in Dennilton, South Africa. Afro Funké resident DJs Jeremy Sole and Glenn Red spin the club's trademark mélange of global soul, salsa, reggae, and disco – on top of other exotic brands of inspired, intercontinental dance grooves.
